Dietary supplement Red Clover contains isoflavones – plant-based chemicals – that cause an effect in the body similar to estrogen and are therefore called phytoestrogens. Isoflavones have shown potential for treating conditions related to menopause (in women) and musculoskeletal conditions (in women and men). Isoflavones extracted from red clover are structurally and functionally similar to steroid estrogens in the human body. They have beneficial effects on osteoporosis, cardiovascular diseases and menopausal symptoms.
